Ecocentres

Ecocentres are sorting centres for Montreal Island residents, where they can drop off items for recovery, items that are excluded from the household waste pickup, such as:

  • Appliances
  • Large objects
  • Recyclable materials (paper, carton, glass, plastic, metal)
  • Old tires
  • Construction, renovation, and demolition waste
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Clothing items in good condition

Reuse, recycling, composting and other appropriate forms of recovery make it possible to considerably reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.

The City of Dorval does not have an ecocentre on its territory, but invites its citizens to drop by other ecocentres in the surrounding boroughs.
