Living Victorian Style, a Matter of Etiquette Exhibition

At the Dorval Museum of Local History and Heritage

The Dorval Museum of History and Heritage is proud to present the exhibition Living Victorian Style, a Matter of Etiquette, as part of the 125th anniversary celebrations in Dorval, from February 2 to July 16, 2017.

Immerse yourself in a time when each stage of the day was dictated by etiquette and become a Dorval resident of the 19th century. During your visit, experience the daily life of a man or woman according to his or her lifestyle, whether vacationer or farmer This exhibition invites you to discover how these groups lived in the Victorian Style, according to the four-part label: food, costume, leisure and transportation.

The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, February 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This activity is free and open to all. Snacks and drinks will be served for the occasion.


Exhibit Closing Concert: The Most Beautiful Bygones Songs
Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. outside the Museum
In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, July 16, at 2 p.m.
General admission – free!

What better way to end a great exhibition than with music! For the occasion, soprano Kerry-Ann Kutz invites you to a journey through time. Through her voice, relive the musical moments of the Victorian period.
