It's St. Patrick's Day, let’s celebrate the Irish! For the occasion, come and attend a conference (by historian Simon Bolivet) dedicated to this remarkable cultural community.

Simon Jolivet's Biography
Historian, author and lecturer who teaches courses on the history of Quebec and Canada at HEC Montréal, Simon Jolivet holds a doctorate in Quebec and Irish history from Concordia University. His book Le vert et le bleu, Identité québécoise et identité irlandaise au tournant du XXe siècle (Presses de l'Université de Montréal, 2011) has received numerous awards, including the National Assembly Prize awarded by the l'Institut d'histoire de l'Amérique française for the quality, originality and rigor of historical research.

He has also published a collective work Le Québec et l'Irlande. Culture, histoire, identité at Éditions du Septentrion (2014) with colleagues, political scientist Linda Cardinal and anthropologist Isabelle Matte. as well as an article on the Self Determination for Irish League of Canada, an Irish Republican Association founded in Montreal in 1920, in the Canadian Historical Review (2011).
