Programs for children

Following is a list of programs for children offered by the City of Dorval.

Dorval Day Camp - Summer 2017

From June 27 to August 25
At the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre

(registration codes: CJ1001, CJ1002, and CJ1003)

For children ages 5 (completed kindergarten) to 12
Weekly
maximum of 74 places

It offers two programs:

The youth program, for children ages 5 to 9
The cost is $190
per week for Dorval residents and $200 for non-residents.

The pre-teen program, for children ages 10 to 12
The cost is $200 per week for Dorval residents and $210 for
non-residents.

Outings for Children

(Registration code: CU3001)

Here are some fun outings for children ages 6 to 11! We will be exploring the island of Montreal, using public transport with buses reserved only for us. Trips leave from the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre at 9:15 a.m. and the children will be with us until 4 p.m.

The cost is $25 per trip for Dorval resident and $30 per trip for non-residents. Children must bring their own lunch for all trips

Les Lapins Crétins
Tuesday, July 18 (registration sub-code: group 42)

A fun-packed day of games and activities.

Le Taz
Tuesday, July 25 (registration sub-code: group 52)
A fun day practicing your skills on skateboards and
scooters.

Laser Quest and Arcade
Tuesday, August 1 (registration sub-code: group 62)

We will be playing the classic games of hide-and-seek
and tag with a high-tech twist and then we’ll play some arcade games.

Ministry of Cricket
Tuesday, August 8 (registration sub-code: group 72)

A super fun day of active games!

Surrey Kids Klub (SKK)

What is the SKK all about?

It is an 8-week structured park program for children ages 6 to 11 who want to stay active and entertained over the summer, but who are not in need of a daycare.

The Klub’s activities take place at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre, from June 27 to August 18, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Groups are divided as follows:

  • Children ages 6 to 8 (registration code: SO2101)
  • Children ages 9 to 11 (registration code:SO2111)

Important notes:

  • There is no supervision before or after the Klub, or during lunch hour.
  • The Klub will be closed on Monday, June 26 (Fête nationale) and Friday, July 28 (day following the sleepover).
  • On Tuesday, July 11 and Tuesday, August 15, SKK children and staff will be going on a mini outing within Dorval at the regular SKK fee. The Klub will not be open on those days.
  • The maximum number of children per day is 55, with the exception of July 4, 18, 25, and 28 as well as August 1 and 8, during which the maximum number of children per day will be 10.

The cost is $13 per child, per day for Dorval residents, and $16 per day for non-residents. Fees include weekly themes, animation, games, workshops, swim periods, special events, sports, crafts, drama, and much more! Here are some summer 2017 teasers:

  • July 11: Outing to the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex and movie at the Serge Nolet Auditorium
  • July 27: Sleepover Party at Surrey
  • August 15: Outing to the Dorval Museum and tennis playing
  • August 17: Family dinner and Talent Night

Registration forms and the mandatory Health and Safety form for camps are available at municipal buildings.

A parent information meeting will be held on Monday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre (1945 Parkfield Avenue).
