2017-2018 Holiday Session

To provide a bridge between the fall fitness and wellness session and the winter one that begins in January, the City of Dorval will be offering agin this year a holiday session, which will take place from December 2 to January 5.

A number of aquatic courses as well as fitness and wellness courses for all ages and skill levels are offered, according to a varied schedule to accommodate you during this busy season.

This year, the unlimited access pass allows you to participate to the fitness and aqua fitness classes.

Cost:

Dorval resident

  • One-hour course: $5 per adult and $4 per First Citizen (age 55 and over)
  • Unlimited access to all classes: $37.50 per adult and $30 per First Citizen (age 55 and over)

Non-resident

  • One-hour course: $7.50 per adult and $6 per First Citizen (age 55 and over)
  • Unlimited access to all classes: $47.50 per adult and $37.50 per First Citizen (age 55 and over)

Purchase of tickets for one-hour courses and for unlimited access to all classes is possible in person only as of November 27, at 8:30 a.m., at the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre (1945 Parkfield Avenue), the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre (1335 Lakeshore Drive), and the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex (1295 Dawson Avenue). Tickets and passes are non-refundable and non-transferable to the following years. They also do not give access to recreational swimming and lap swim periods, nor to the open activities at the gymnasium.

NOTE
Purchases of tickets for the following periods will be cash only:
 - At the SACC and the SDCC, Monday to Friday after 4:30 p.m., as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, from November 27 to December 21 and from January 3 to January 5.
 - At the SDCC, on December 22, 26, 27, 28, and 29, during opening hours.

All forms of payments are accepted at all times at the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex.

Since space for each course is limited (no reservation possible), it is recommended that you arrive early. Places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

DECEMBER MADNESS

During the first three Saturdays of December, the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex invites you to take part in special aquatic activities for the enjoyment of the whole family! The entry cost is the same as a daily pass.

Wibit Day
December 2, from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Activity for all in the 25-metre pool
Come and enjoy a giant inflatable game on the water!

Carnival Day
December 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Activities for all in the 25-metre pool and the recreational pool
On the program: Pedal boat, face painting, food, aquatic games, and door prizes.

Demo Day
December 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Activities in the 25-metre pool for age 14 and over
To remain active before the holiday turkey, we offer you three aquatic fitness courses:
  1) SUP Yoga : 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. (maximum of 8 participants)
  2) Aqua Zumba : 11 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. (maximum of 25 participants) - CANCELLED
  3) Aqua Jogging : Noon to 12:55 p.m. (maximum of 25 participants) - CANCELLED

Sign-up is mandatory at least 48 hours in advance, in person at the DASC only, starting November 27.

► Note that the recreational pool will remain open for recreational swim during Wibit Day and Demo Day.

In addition to the many courses offered during the holiday session, the City of Dorval offers the following special activities at the DASC to enjoy during this time of the year. The entry cost is the same as a daily pass.

Introduction to Scuba Diving
December 27 and January 3
Group 1: 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.   
Group 2: 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
* Maximum of 15 participants per group
Activity in the 25-metre pool for age 12 and over
Come try out this introduction to scuba diving and to the use of flippers and masks in the safe and supervised environment.
Sign-up is mandatory at least 48 hours in advance, in person at the DASC only, starting November 27.

Gym and Swim
December 28 and January 4

Group 1: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.          
Group 2: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.        
Group 3: 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
