Steps to obtain an occupancy certificate

  • A request for an occupancy permit is required before occupying a local or commercial/industrial building
  • All activities must be conducted in accordance with the laws, regulations and codes, as well as according to municipal regulations and the CCQ-2010.
  • The company must be registered with the Registre des entreprise du Québec prior to obtaining their occupancy certificate
  • A separate application must be made for signage
