The municipal council assumes the duties incumbent upon them by law. It ensures the quality of life of citizens and ensures that the services offered meet the needs of the community. When it makes decisions on guidelines and priorities for the municipality, it takes into account the interests of the entire population and its decisions take the form of resolutions or by-laws adopted at a meeting held in accordance with the provisions of the Cities and Towns Act.

The municipal council holds monthly public meetings at the "Quatre Vents" residence (12 Dahlia Avenue), at 7 p.m. These meetings are open to the public and a question period is set aside for residents. The agenda of the meeting is available online the day prior to the meeting.
