Exhibition: L’instabilité du réel

November 16 to January 6, 2019
At the Peter B. Yeomans Cultural Centre

(1401 Lakeshore Drive)

A traveling exhibition presented by the Conseil des Arts de Montréal en tournée and curated by L'Artothèque

Vernissage: Thursday, November 15, 7 p.m.

Immerse yourself in an unbalanced universe where works will play on your perceptions! L’instabilité du réel will challenge your senses. This exhibition relates the existing link between L’Artothèque’s optical art collection and the recent artistic productions of five invited Canadian artists: Annie Briard, Emmanuel Chieze, Kamille Cyr, Michel-Pierre Lachance, and Serge Lemonde. The work of these artists – photographs, 3D objects, paintings, digital art – have in common a search on the understanding of reality and its alleged objectivity. The exhibition is divided into two series: Colour and Motion. Through the scenography, you are invited to be destabilized and observe the stunning visual ambiguities!

→ Please note that the Cultural Centre will be exceptionally closed on Saturday and Sunday, December 15 and 16.
The Centre will also be closed on December 24, 25, 26, and 31, 2018, as well as on January 1 and 2, 2019.
