Batteries (Recycling)

The City offers a recycling program for batteries (rechargeable or not). Rechargeable batteries are used mainly in mechanical tools, cordless and cellular phones, laptops, camcorders, walkie-talkies, and remotely-controlled toys.

Residents can dispose of their rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries at the following places:

  • Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre, from Monday to Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • City Hall, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Dorval Library, during regular opening hours
  • Public Works, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Edgar Rouleau Arena and Westwood Sports Centre, during regular opening hours

Also, thanks to a recycling program involving every fire stations in Montreal, it is also possible to dispose of rechargeable batteries at the following addresses:

  1. 530 Bouchard Boulevard
  2. 150 Avro Avenue
