The age of eligibility to be considered a First Citizen in Dorval is age 55 and over.
Consequently, Dorval residents age 55 and over can receive a 25% rebate when registering for all adult activities and courses offered by the Leisure and Culture Department.
Offered by Community Aid, the goal of this program is to bring the two generations together in order to create jobs for youth while offering domestic help to First Citizens:

Navette Or by taxi is offered to residents, 65 years and over, by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), in cooperation with the City of Dorval.
The Navette Or by Taxi transportation service features a 40-stop route within the municipality.
Local landmarks served by the Navette Or include main residences for seniors, the public library, the two community centres, City hall, and Les Jardins Dorval shopping center.
This service is offered from one taxi stop to another, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except on holidays.
Seniors are free to choose their departure and return times within that timeframe.
Rides are done by taxi, however only from one designated stop to another.
If you use a mobility aid to request the use of an accessible cab, mention it when you make your reservation over the phone.
There are three ways to pay for your ride when boarding:
* The photo ID OPUS card for ages 65 and over must be shown when paying the reduced fare.
The first citizens of Dorval can participate in various enriching courses and activities, ranging from recreational programs, creative workshops, to social events, all designed to promote well-being, learning, and community spirit in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The City of Dorval is happy to offer free gerontology services to Dorval citizens age 60 and over. Every Tuesday, a registered nurse with geriatric experience will be able to provide the following services:
