On Saturday, October 24, step into a world of mystery, costumes, and creative activities at the Cabinet of Curiosities: Forgotten Wonders Halloween event, then spark your curiosity at the “Watt’s Up?” science booth featuring the spectacular Van de Graaff generator. Two free activities, one exciting afternoon, and just a short walk between them!

Electrifying Kiosk - Watt’s Up?

A bilingual kiosk for all ages, presented by Mad Science
Drop-in. No registration required.
Come see this shockingly fun kiosk where you can observe the Van de Graaff generator, a machine capable of producing spectacular displays of static electricity. Watch sparks fly, see unusual effects unfold before your eyes, and learn the surprising science behind this electrifying phenomenon. Then, if you dare, become part of the experiment yourself and experience the generator firsthand. It’ll make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up—literally!
