In an effort to fight food insecurity, the City of Dorval, in cooperation with Corbeille de Pain, is organizing once again this summer solidarity markets open to the entire community.
Come purchase fresh, nutritious foods from local producers, while supporting an initiative that promotes access to healthy food for everyone.
Solidarity markets schedule
Every Wednesday:
The markets operate on a “pay what you can” model, allowing participants to pay a fairer price based on their own financial situation. And if you are able to, you can “pay it forward” by paying more than the listed price for your produce. This “extra” will then help support more vulnerable residents of the West Island.
Proximity Card
For individuals experiencing food insecurity, a Proximity Card can be obtained through the Proximity Card organization, to help them financially with their purchases. For more information on this card, visit carteproximite.org/en or contact Dorval’s Community Aid at 514 633-4100.
