The cashiers of Checkout 606 are in an existential crisis. Time drifts slowly, and life runs on automatic. As the cashiers escape into their imagination, carrots begin to dance, their overbearing boss transforms into a green onion monster, and they can finally beat their rival checkout in a synchronized swimming competition. Trapped in a routine they know like the back of their hand, these cashiers present their dreams, their aspirations, their need for recognition, and their thirst for freedom through an epic in which everyday objects are an escape from their weariness. Laugh, enjoy, and be amazed! A vibrant performance that brings joy to everyone, from ages 4 to 104 – whether you’re enjoying it on your own or with your family and friends.
Stay after the show to participate in a discussion with the actors from the show!
In the event of poor weather or extreme heat, the show will be presented at the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre (1335 chemin du Bord-du-Lac—Lakeshore).
