Gentle Support Through Meaningful Activities: Cognitive Care Kits for Adults

The Dorval Library is proud to offer its community new bilingual activity kits specially designed to support adults experiencing cognitive decline, while fostering meaningful moments of connection for caregivers and companions.

Presented in a convenient, easy-to-carry bag, each kit provides a unique experience. They include a variety of items intended to stimulate the senses, memory, and creativity. While some components appear in more than one kit, each kit has its own personality and is tailored to different needs.

Inspired by the initiative launched by the Pointe-Claire Public Library, this project was made possible with the support of the Bibliothèques des banlieues de l’Île de Montréal, a dynamic network of public libraries from Montreal’s demerged cities that works together to enrich services, foster innovation, and respond to the specific needs of their communities.

Kits are available for 3 weeks loans and can be borrowed directly at the library service desk. They may also be reserved online. By clicking on each kit, users can explore its contents in detail.
