Are you looking to organize a garage sale, but don’t want the hassle of putting up posters across town and are afraid to be left with a ton of unsold items?
Are you a fan of flea markets or garage sales and spend a lot of your time searching for the perfect place to find that “hidden treasure”?
Well, you’re in for a treat!
Following the huge success of the first two editions, the City of Dorval is very happy to organize again this year its Community Flea Market that will allow Dorval residents to reserve a place to “set up shop” among other sellers. This unique event will also allow local communities to go hunting for new finds!
Even better, items unsold at the end of the day can be left behind, as the Salvation Army will be on site to help find a second home for those various objects.
The goal of this event is to reduce waste by giving items a second life and to foster a growing sense of community.
As of Monday, May 12, at 8:30 a.m.: Online and in person at the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre, the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre, and the Dorval Aquatic and Sports Complex, according to regular opening hours.
Reservation deadline: Wednesday, May 21, at 4 p.m.
Residents who would like a space during this event will need to pay a $10 fee, which will be donated to the City’s Community Aid.
In case of rain, the event could be moved inside the SDCC or postponed to Sunday, May 25.
