Since January 1, 2025, recycling has never been easier! As part of an awareness campaign, Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ), appointed by the Gouvernement du Québec to manage and modernize the province-wide collection and processing system for recyclable materials, has launched the Bin Impact initiative.
The modernization of the curbside recycling system involves a gradual change in the colour of recycling bins and brings some changes to the materials accepted in the bin. The aim is to make the process simpler, safer and more uniform across the province. No more checking recycling symbols or testing plastics for flexibility. From now on, all containers, packaging and printed paper go straight into the bin!
Please note:
DID YOU KNOW?
→ A container comes with a cap or a lid.
→ Packaging is used to easily transport a product.
→ Containers and packaging made of degradable plastic should not be placed in the bin. They will contaminate all other recyclable materials.
