Unveiling of the Two Murals at the Entrances to the Pine Beach Tunnel

The City of Dorval is proud to unveil Confluence, two large-scale murals created by the collective ArtduCommun on the north and south entrances of the Pine Beach tunnel.

Inspired by the history, landscapes, and networks that shape Dorval, this public art transforms these everyday infrastructures into striking visual landmarks that celebrate the community’s identity and collective memory.

Rooted in a territory shaped by movement, connections, and the interaction between nature and infrastructure, Confluence draws inspiration from the networks that define Dorval: the railway, roadways, Lake Saint-Louis, and the international airport. Large directional patterns flow across both structures, creating a visual dialogue that links the two sites.

Through a contemporary graphic language and the integration of archival photographs, Confluence brings together memory and movement. The murals create a true artistic postcard of Dorval, where heritage, landscape, and collective memory converge.

Through this project, the City of Dorval continues its commitment to public art and the celebration of its heritage, while offering residents and visitors a contemporary work deeply rooted in the history and unique character of the community.
