Changes in the Collection of CRD Debris, Branches, and Large Objects

The year 2025 will focus on ecological transition in the City of Dorval! Among the measures that the municipality will deploy, there will be a new schedule and improved management of CRD (construction, renovation, and demolition) debris, branches, and large objects.

In that regard, from April 7 to November 2 inclusive, CRD debris, branches, and large objects will be collected one week per month, starting on the first Monday of each month. No materials will be allowed at the curb outside of that specific week. Additionally, there will be no pickups for these items from December to March.

Waste must result from work carried out by the occupant and must be put out on the eve of the collection week (in other words, on Sunday). The collection truck will pass in front of every residence only once between Monday and Friday of that special week.

Starting April 7, the drop-off in the Public Works yard will be open one Saturday per month (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), to improve access for more residents. However, it will be closed during the week from that same date onward.

These new measures will reduce the circulation of municipal vehicles in the area, promote a cleaner urban environment, and optimize waste management by encouraging recycling, reuse, and repair. In other words:

  • Fewer vehicles on our roads for more safety and fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Cleaner sidewalks, free of large objects and construction debris.
  • Easier sidewalk access for people with reduced mobility and parents with strollers.
  • The recovery and reuse of large objects for the benefit of organizations and citizens in our community.
