“Quatre Vents” Residence - Information

The City is pleased to have acquired this magnificent property located at 12 avenue Dahlia, on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis, in order to protect the historical and heritage character of the part of the building known as the "Quatre Vents" manor. The purchase was also intended to provide Dorval residents with access to the waterfront.

The residence "Quatre Vents" is a building of great importance in Dorval, as it was the home of Désiré Girouard, the first mayor of Dorval Village in 1892. He inherited the house in 1873, enlarged and renovated it, and, since the winds came from the four cardinal points, he gave it the name “Quatre Vents” (Four Winds).

Information Session of November 26, 2024

An information session regarding the future of the building located at 12 Dahlia Avenue took place on November 26, 2024. During the evening, five scenarios were presented to citizens on hand concerning the potential use of the building.
